Hi folks Hope you all had a great evening after the rather dis-jointed sign on and briefing... It was the first time we have run from the Stowe Apron so it was new to us as well.. (I never knew Porsche had a garage/dealer hidden over there !!) And it stayed dry... Just to let all those who saw me loosing coolant after the 2nd session was red flagged, it appears it was nothing more than an expansion tank cap giving up the ghost... I drove home with no more problems or coolant loss and everything appears fine... I think coming straight into the pit area red hot under the red flag without the benefit of a cool down lap showed a dodgy cap up, so i will be buying a replacement and a spare ! today.. See you all soon Stu;)

Pleased to hear that you got home OK Stu. Sounds like we should all carry a spare cap. Cheers Steve

Thanks to all Thanks to all involved in the organisation last night, great fun as usual. I spent 8 years marshalling at Silverstone and we never knew what was going on with the organisation, I thought you did well in the circumstances. Apologies to the black ZT owner who was behind me in Brooklands corner when my engine cut out (red Midget) it seems my concerns about only having a 1/4 of a tank of fuel left for the last session were well founded, in long left hand corners it's not enough to make the fuel pick up in the tank. Plenty left at normal speeds to get to the petrol station at Paulesbury though.

Thanks to everyone involved in the organisation for a great evening at Silverstone. Glad it stayed dry, but I still managed an off-road excursion at Vale, which I gather was quite entertaining to watch if not to participate in! Looking forward to Donington in October...

Silverstone GP When I saw your Midget slow up I thought that must have been the problem. A great evening and well organised despite reservations on using the apron for the first time. First time I've done an evening session and it worked out well with both me and the car having some energy left at the end even if I did need a few more laps to hone those lines.
