Just a message to thank Dave (and of course SELOC) and all those involved on the track day. :) Superb track, weather, and members who I felt made us feel welcome. Good to meet those from MGs-On-Track of course. Most impressed with the courtesy (in general) with fellow drivers often putting their hand up to thank you for moving aside for them. Also, the 50 mph limit for the first hour was a good opportunity to learn the track without pressure. Hopefully the pictures taken by my mate will come out and I will post them to the photo gallery when I get them back ASAP. Cheers Neil

Yep, thanks to everyone involved. Had a great time, already looking for the next one ;) Took a lot of restraint not to practice some of the new techniques I'd learnt on the drive home :D PS. Anyone know the website address for the guys who took the pics?. I had some put on a CD but seem to have misplaced it :( . IIRC they said the pics would be on thier site for a couple of weeks.

Just to repeat what Neil and Steve have said about thanks to everyone involved with organising the day. What a great track and as ever great camaraderie with MGoT and SELOC members:) Neil

the website of the official photographer is http://www.trackphoto.co.uk I've had a look but they've not been posted yet. Had a great day, glad the rain held off - got wet on the way home to the south coast. Glad the car survived in one piece despite a few spins & offs.

What great weather! What a great track! What a great day! Fantastic. For some reason the Cannonball Runt seemed to perfom better than usual in terms of both power and handling, it even out-ran a certain similar-looking VVC! :p Either it was the track bringing out the best in my driving or the addidtion of a blonde (or two) to the passenger seat :) Jenny, Sorry if my run-off was a bit scary but at the time I was distracted by the two Porsche GT3s filling my mirrors rather quickly.:(

Agree 100% with what's been said SELOC are a great crowd, courtesy on track was great, marshalling was spot on. Track itself is fantastic, nice and open so you can really push it to the limit without worries about tyre walls and armco. :D Fortunately my two excursions into the scenery were well out of the way from the pit lane :o Great to meet some of the MGoTers, however I'm still struggling putting names to faces!!! I think I may be doing some more track days in the not so distant future!!! :D Steve, you said that there's an MG meet at the Waterman, but in all the excitement I've forgotten when........ Oh, and the two cheese and onion pasties had heated up a treat by the lunchtime break
Steve, you said that there's an MG meet at the Waterman, but in all the excitement I've forgotten when........
Hi mate, looks like its going to be the 20th June. We normally meet from 11:30am onwards. There will be a whole mixture of MG's and Rovers. Why not pop over to http://forums.mg-rover.org/ and say hello, were a friendly bunch ;) Details of the meet can be found at http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=38237 Oh, I found my photo CD under the passenger mat, no idea how it got there, must have slipped under during those last couple of laps ;)

did anyone take any pics of the midget going around apart from the official photographer? As the pics posted so far seem to have it missing I've got some video footage of going around, then ran out of tape!

He ended up being taken out to the back straight hairpin by the marshalls so he could take photos. Put it this way, there are 2 films finished and he thinks he took photos of all the MGs. I'll put them on this thread ASAP, probably next week. Fingers crossed as the autofocus was not playing ball. Q: I wonder, has anyone got more photos of my car, either foreground or background (Volcano MGF with black hardtop)? They would be appreciated. Thanks!:)

Caroline Woodley took plenty of very high quality photos and assures me she got ALL the MGs that were there at least once and this was one of her main intentions. We're just looking in to how best to display her images in such a way as both sides benefit and as soon as an agreement is reached the images will be up. We may also look at having a dedicated photographer at future events (much as SELOC did for Bedford) but with the ability to produce A3 poster size prints on site.

Hi, Thanks, Caroline sent me a PM with an example shot. Just a note to Caroline, for some reason the system won't let me send PMs today but thank you for your message. I notice two F's with SVC reg numbers - one I know a bit about. The other is 826 SVC, did that car previously belong to Steve Cox? Regards, Dave

He competes in the Luffield Sprint champs with it. Hopefully, he'll be along soon to tell you more about it.

Quick Bedford quiz Let me try to guess the line-up on the last of "norman" photos CRW_0696: http://www.mgs-on-track.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=402&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=3009 Lotus 7, Elise S1, Honda S2000, Elise S2 (yellow), TF, Elise S1 (dark blue), Elise S1 (silver), Elise S2 (red), F, Elise S2 (silver), Lotus Carlton, Elise S1 (silver), Elise S1 (yellow), Elise S2 (Black), Elise S1 (silver), Radical, unidentified silver car on end (Boxter/F?) - total 17 cars, quite a line up! Sad I know, but hey, I didn't go, so I'm very sad about that! ;-) Tony

Was Stephen Cox's old run around, bought it off him May 2003. Been a lot of fun, entered the odd sprint and hill climb, plus a few track days to boot. Goes well (except when a Noble passes you and then you might as well be standing still)! Was thinking of putting a personalised plate on it (and holding the SVC one) but people know more about the car from the number plate than anything else.

Additional photos added (credit where credit is due, thanks to my mate Chris Stewart for most of them) to the gallery. http://www.mgs-on-track.com/gallery/ Should anyone want some pictures at full resolution, please feel free to let me know and I can e-mail them to you. I am also in the process of adding a load to the SELOC website.
