I have recently replaced my discs and pads all round with Green stuff. I've always used these on my cars as they keep brake dust to minimum and have always performed well on the roads. However, now that i'm starting to play on the tracks am I going to have to replace them after every track day? I also got new tyres at the same time yoko A539's. So they're still like new, are these likely to need replacing after too?

Depends on what track and what temperature. No idea about Donny, my first time too. Greenstuff pads about a year as well. What size Yokos, didn't think you could get 215/40/16 in them.

Yoko's The front's are Yoko's 195/45 x 16's The Back are Toyo Proxes T1R 215/40 x 16's I could have sworn they were all Yoko's  Think i'm losing it  Did I see someone had put 215/40's all round? If so does this rub on full lock?

I have and Stu also, probably more have too. They don't rub on mine.

215/40's all round What make of tyre have you opted for, for the 215/40's all round? Does it make much of a difference to the handling and general driving, with there being alot more tread on the road I expect there is more grip, but is it noticable? I ask alot of Questions..... :o

I run Goodyear GSD2's 215/40/16s which are very good on road and track Alternatively Dave L runs Bridgestone S02's 205/45/16s and has had really good experiences with them. The Goodyears are fairly available at around £72 fitted The Bridgestones are like mammoth poo and can go for as much as £100 if you can get them although Dave managed to get hold of a pair recently for about £83 a corner. Currently GSD2, last set were GSD3. Think the GSD3s might have a little more grip but break away with less feedback, GSD2s seem a little more progressive. Not sure which I prefer yet.

I got four Bridgestone SO2s (205x45xZR16) as easily as usual from my local supplier - as Stu says the cost was a very reasonable £83 each fully fitted. I've used this tyre in 205 x 45 size all round for the last six years and have found it to be an excellent tyre for wet and dry tracks. I do get through them in 10K miles though ;) Added: On brakes, I'd thoroughly recommend Mintex 1144 pads as a good road/track compromise. Again all round will be fine. You can balance the Trophy 4 pots better with Mintex 1177s on the rear, but I've had these wear extremely quickly. On the other hand Rob Bell has had no problems. I've now gone bacl to 1144s all round, but have the new VHS 260mm discs on the rear (with standard, but spaced calipers) which help balance out the 304mm AP 4 pot fronts.
