Looking forward to your opinions ..Gary ...[/quote] Hi Gary, I'm not sure its relevant:confused: , but I'll pitch this in for what it is worth, if the ZR is as neutral handling as a ZS it may be some worth. I bought a ZS 120 two months ago with real cheap budget tyres on three wheels a a badly cracked original Michelin on the forth. I had a look around and came up with Firestone Firehawk's, 205/50X16 ZR rated at £64 quid each.:D Now the car is used for similar service as yours, I've had it out at Goodwood in the pouring rain and Silverstone on Monday and had no issues with them at all in either set of conditions. Of course not had them long enough to judge overall life, but track wear perfectly acceptable. It is really for others to judge, but I don't think I pussy foot around corners:rolleyes: Martin.

Hi Gary, I'm probably not going to be much help but with the price of tyres on the R17 rims there is probably not a lot in it for the major brands... Personally I've run on the Continental Sport Contact 2 as they give a fair balance between dry and wet driving and work well on the track too. I used to have Bridgestones I had on my old car which were to hard and not good in the wet, but I think things may have changed... Let us know if you get any other good advice on ZR rubber.

Hi Martin & Mike . Many thanks for your replies ... At the moment I am running on Conti Sport 2 and they seem to perform pretty well but they will be shot by the end of the Snetty day .. I am thinking of the following three tyres .. Falken ZE512 at £77.00 .Toyo Proxes T1 at £99 & Conti Sport 2 at £126.. Having put the Conti around a track I am happy with the performance but what about the price ??? Are they realy worth 25% more ???? Any one out there got the inside track on tyres ???? Any input would be appreciated.. Martin ,,look forward to meeting you at Snetty .. Gary & BVZ ..

I'm just about to finish work for a 13 day break:p So look forward to catching everybody a week Sunday/Monday for this little jolly. :D Quite excited about this one;) as not only have I never seen Snetterton, I've never been to East Anglia:o They tell me it's turn right off the M25, if going round anti-clockwise, then just keep going until you reach the flat bit:confused: Cheers, Martin.

If you go for the Toyo Proxes go for T1-R, not T1-S.

I'm not sure about T1-R's for trackday use on a ZR but Mike Hall found them really iffy on his MGF at Silverstone. He found them great on the road but on track when they really warmed up the blocks moved around too much for his liking. It may well be different on ZR Stu
