I noticed in the regulations you can use a video if securely mounted. Can the passenger hold the camcorder?

No definitely not ! The passenger can not have any hand held items, i.e. phone, still camera, camcorder with him. All camera mounts have to be scrutineered by the track officials, in some cases even the suction type are not excepted or certainly not the cheaper ones. Stu

One of the better ones I've seen is really simple and could easily be home made. It was a piece of box section about 20mm Square with two holes drilled right through, one at each end and a third one the same distance apart from the end as the MGF head rest support poles are. That way you could simply lift the headrest off and replace it passing the poles through the box section before relocating into the seat. The other end a swivel mount from a tripod was mounted which then simply screws into the bottom of the camera. I know Norman has one of these but i can't remember the manufacturer. Hopefully he'll be along soon to fill in the blanks.. Stu:) edit ...found it http://www.b-hague.co.uk/Mounting%20Brackets.htm

If anyone thinks the circuit are being spoilsports about the cameras just imagine driving down the motorway and having someone throw half a brick at you:eek: Dave
