Yep :D
Another great day Norman
The weather gods were kind to us once again...
My first visit to Castle Combe, a really good circuit although I should imagine it would be pretty hairy in the wet.
It was nice to see all the triumph's and mazda's as well, it gave the day a nice twist.
I'm not totally convinced on the format we ran, I am not complaining about the amount of track time but where as you would normally just jump in your car for your alloted session, the pretty much constant queueing and moving up a bit was a bit of a bind. It seemed to give you less time to relax between your circuit time.
I hope I didn't terrify my various pax I took out;) There were no brown stains on the passenger seat so I think I got away with it:)
Donnington here we come !!
See you all soon
Stu

Well this was my first visit to any MGoT event and a big thanks to Stu for taking me out as a passenger.
Although I have to complain about that as I have no excuse I can give myself as to why I don't want to get my car out on track now ;)
Great to meet you all and have a chat with a good few of you, nice to see such a wide selection of cars running too.

Thanks to all who fixed my car!
A massive thank you to all of you who helped to disassemble my car, fix my leaking clutch fluid, bleed the clutch and then re-assemble the car while waiting in line to get back on track.
Special thanks to Mike Hankin for all his assistance, David Coulthard for helping out and supplying the clutch fluid, and to the chap with the Green Track TF (whose name I didn't catch) who was brilliant in bleeding the clutch.
People like this are why mgs-on-track is so much more than _just_ a trackday club.
Great organisation my the committee, yet again. Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks once again.
Mike (s3mjc) - which got all the way home (london) without any further issues!

Many thanks to all for an excellent day. That was the first time I had been to Combe since '89 and is was better than I remembered. The facilities were much improved!
Only a couple of negatives, one was addressed, not following the rules, albeit, NOT an MG driver!:D The other totally forgetting the passing rule...............you don't move to the right when giving way! again not an MG driver, but it was a close call!
I will do another one, but the whole day does leave a hole in the wallet, so the next one will have to wait.
Well done to all.
Regards,
Mick (blue ZS)

Re: Good Day
Hi everyone,
First thanks to Mike, Mike, Dave, Tim & Norman for the superb slick organisation.
Second well done Norman on some more superb car porn:cool:
To everyone out on track thanks for your patience when bearing down on the old R/B GT, I thought the track etiquette from everyone was superb:)
Even when we kept putting on the wipers instead of the indicators:confused:
I've always wanted to drive Coombe having watched many a race there, what a challenge Quarry is, but so much fun, even in the battleship  puff, sweat, puff.
My car of the day was the Brabus forFour, how quick was that? How much quicker would it have been without the giant Teddy and tow bar? Well done Sir, I like your style! But to be honest there were lots of very tasty motors there and the noise of a 16 valve Dolly, brought back many happy memories of touring car racing in the 70's
Finally how do I contact you Norman to get the shots of the BRU ***T ?
Look forward to catching up with you all soon,
Martin.

Sorry Norman, now you know why we kept hitting the wiper stalk instead of the indicator one. :o

Another great MGoT trackday! I was suffering from withdrawal symptoms, so this made a refreshing return to the track.
My new ZS180 (ex-MG S&R) performed flawlessly, until the journey home... the engine management light came on as I approached the slip lane from the M4 on to the M25. There seemed to be no reduction in performance so I carried on home. When I put the car on T4 this morning it wouldn't connect to the MEMS2000 ECU, so I couldn't read the fault code. Instead I reloaded the ECU program for the chip and this cleared the error. Not had any problem since. I suspect that there may be a loose connection on one of the Lambda sensors, which were removed last Friday to fit the Janspeed exhaust manifolds.
