Hi folks Had a fantastic day at Anglesey on Friday, the weather teased us a bit after lunch to give a full on wet session but it soon dried out. I was really impressed with the circuit, it certainly keeps you busy, there's little time to rest between sections. I even caught Dave L (ICE-MAN) with a sweat on after one session  Many thanks to all involved and all my fellow drivers for making it a safe enjoyable day... Time for some TLC on the car Sunday;) Until next time guys Stu

Another great day at Anglesey - it was good to catch up with everyone again! That's 'catch up' in the paddock rather than on the track, obviously... ;) Anyway, I've uploaded some pics into the gallery, if anyone wants higher res versions drop me a PM! :)

Excellent Day! Very enjoyable day, weather made it more interesting!. Enjoyed giving my MX-5 a run-out, AKA "Ravishing Ruby", (209 KOO). Now if I can get my MGB GT as far as Angelsey...
I even caught Dave L (ICE-MAN) with a sweat on after one session
LOL - that was the third session, as it started to drizzle and Pete (LoT Instructor) came out with me. He started by telling me that the briefing about Anglesey being very very slippy in the wet was not an exaggeration and to take care. Then he proceeded to try to tell me that he thought the quickest way around Anglesey was to be a hooligan and provoke oversteer into the corners and boot it as the car pointed at the Apex. He substantiated this by saying that this was why Fifth Gear use the circuit! So, you can understand why I was sweating at the end of that session, although hood up and windows up for the first time that day also contributed! Nevertheless, after a few short-cuts across the grass at Abbotts, I began to get the hang of it and had some enormous fun as the track dried out!

Mobile Chicane Well, despite being the mobile chicane for the day I thoroughly enjoyed the day easily the friendliest gathering I have been to. Good luck to Mike O'leary for his first race. Cheers barry

Anglesey day out - red MGB roadster Thanks all for a great day out. Special thanks to Barry and Dave, both for moral support and advice from the outset and for the loan of a helmet which allowed the boss to sit in on my last session just when the car was warming up. Looking forward to repeating the experience. Regards all. Celt

Track days vs Pub car parks Yes a great day, with special thanks to Dave for letting me sit in with him on the wet session, and to Stu for fixing my dodgy handbrake light problem. Bad news is the problem's back - my nuts seem to have loosened up again, so to speak...:D So, back to Cheshire chuffed that me and Reggie the Red MG were still in one piece, and what happens? Me and my other half go out to a nice Cheshire pub on a balmy Saturday evening, park it carefully as usual, and then on arriving back home find that someone has hit the rear passenger side bumper and wing. The air was blue, my face was red. First quote £240. An expensive pint of Stella and plate of ham egg, and chips (I know how to give a girl a good time). Drive safely at Croft guys (and Jennie).;) Rob
