21/04/2006 20:19:54 TimJ Another big thank you to Dave, Andy and all the rest of you folks who organised today. I had a fantastic time - as evidenced by wearing my osf tyre to the metal! As a novice in the driving seat on an ocassion such as this (more used to a navigator's view of progress) I may not have totally mastered all of Andy's patient tips but I certainly learnt a lot. Notwithstanding my driving ability, it was interesting to see how a 40+ year old design compared to your more modern machinery. After feeling reasonably proud of my account in the slalom - I was humbled by the automotive progress of BMW coupled with a very skilfull bit of driving driving! Hopefully I'll meet some of you again at a track day soon. Am thinking of the Brands evening coming up........... Cheers Tim

22/04/2006 09:34:25 tonywilliams Thanks everyone that organised it and thanks to Andy for helping improve my driving with his usefull pointers. I had a great time and learned a lot about my cars handling - 75 is ok but 85 was too fast for me but is quite fun then front and back swap ends. After realising my mistakes I would have loved another go at the 90 degree. I look forward to the next one hopefully with a new clutch first, I thought the drag strip had finished the car but it still got me home.
