Our traditional October visit to Donington Park - one of my favourite tracks. Always a sell out - so book early. Track time starts at 09.00 and continues until 16:00 with a one hour lunch break, giving six hours of track time. We'll divide this up into three 20 minute sessions per hour - two for MGs on Track and one for Lotus on Track. Each car will therefore have a maximum of 6 x 20mins = 2 hours of track time, assuming no stoppages. More info here.

There's not a lot of extra value in the Melbourne loop - it's just a couple of hairpins that wear your brakes out more! The fun of Donny is definitely elsewhere :)
There's not a lot of extra value in the Melbourne loop - it's just a couple of hairpins
Those individuals with lots of horse power may beg to differ - power sliding round the melbourne hairpin on a damp track is not for the timid *!?! but very satisfying when you get it right.

Hi Bob! Are we going to see you at Castle Combe on Monday 4th September??? Plenty of people coming for you to catch up with :) Bring a crash hat and get some pax laps. I'm not driving, but Tim's said he needs some ballast!

One of our technicians, who used to work for Caterham, says that this engine revs to 15,000rpm! Basically, the engine is two motorbike engines with a custom head.
Tim's said he needs some ballast!
Ballast indeed. Yeah I might come along. I'm on stand-by that day so not actually at work although I need to be within about an hour of Odiham. :(

If anyone is thinking of stopping over the night before the local travel lodge is doing a good discount for pre booking. Have details of the day been sent out yet? I run a fairly aggressive spam filter but it usually lets MGoT traffic through, anyone else seen anything yet? The V8 passed its MOT this morning so I'm as ready as I can be. Dave

I'll be stopping up near Ashby de la Zouch on Thursday in order to make an early start to get ready for the sign in etc on Friday, and it's unlikely I'll get away much before 8:00pm on the Thursday. It's a pain in the butt actually, 'coz I seem to be spending most of my working life in Burton on Trent at present. Ho Hum. Home from home :)

Slight change of plan... I will be bringing the ZS180 and not the F to this trackday:( I just haven't had the time today to go and get the F from the barn.
