08/02/2006 23:23:13 SteveChilds A rare opportunity to drive the Silverstone GP circuit - all 3.2 miles of it! Track time starts at 09.00 and continues until 17:00 with a one hour lunch break, giving six hours of track time. We'll divide this up into three 20 minute sessions per hour - two for MGs on Track and one for Lotus on Track. Each car will therefore have a maximum of 6 x 20mins = 2 hours of track time, assuming no stoppages. Cars must be roadworthy and comply with current MOT legislation. If the car is over three years old, please bring your current MOT with you to the sign-on. You must also bring your FULL driving license to the sign-on - that's the plastic card AND the paper version, or you may not be allowed on track. 17/02/2006 17:02:50 Nervous Laughter Hi, I started out doing track days with MGoT in the Sprite that I had and then moved on to the MGF, enjoying several days at Silverstone, Cadwell, Bedford and Donnington with you all. Unfortunately at the end of last year I did the unthinkable and sold the MGF and bought a VX220 for my track day fun, :o hence joined LoT - same great organisation, track discipline and general approach of fun all round. The reason for the post is that, MGoT and LoT are sharing a day at Silverstone on 28th March. The LoT session is already full and I also see plenty of interest from MGoT too...........but if there are any places left at the end.............and you don't mind a Vauxhall amoung your midst :eek: ............then I would be very grateful for a place please ?? (I do still own a MGA and am a MGCC member !):)

Remember folks the perversity of the universe tends towards a maximum. Seriously folks, with the south-east having a very dry winter what are the odds it will rain on the 28th? Anyone know if we will be able to use the pit garages to shelter from the blazing sun? Dave

Noticed that the track sessions run from 09:00 through to 176:00 giving us just over 55 hours of track time ( 166 lots of 20 mins ) with value like that I'm definitely coming back!:confused: Assuming the sessions are running A B then C, if any driver from session C would like to sit in my passenger seat for the session B familiarisation laps then let me know. I'll give you the a bit of informal coaching and get you back to the pits intime for your session. Dave
