27/01/2006 16:36:53 Steve White A friend of mine (Deano) over on MG-rover.org has organised a skid pan day for at the Staffordshire police driving school at Hixon (near Stafford) on 11th Feb. Unfortunately we have had 2 people have to drop out, and so could do with 2 more to make the numbers up. It will cost £38.50 and the money would need to be paid to Deano ASAP as he needs to pay for the day the week before. The day kicks off at 9am and will last around 6 hours. Everybody will get 2 hrs with advanced police driver on an oil and water covered skid pan in a RWD car with bold tyres. As I'm sure your aware, the point of this is to learn and hone car control, all at safe low speeds. The cars are supplied by the organisers (RWD Sierras I believe) so there is no danger of damaging your own car.
