Yep, I think I'd have felt I'd missed out on something if it hadn't rained... I agree with Ralph, perfect timing: a couple of dry sessions to get to know the lines and braking points and then a sprinkling of H20 to keep everyone on their toes & respectful, lunch under cover, one more wet session and then the very entertaining scenario of a dry racing line but damp either side - storming value for money, I learned loads.
One tip I picked up was to use the cooling down lap to inspect the kerbs, Cadwell has some that are designed to be clippable and some that should definitely be avoided.
Sorry if I deafened anyone on the last session, the flexi section was letting go, and at full chat it was getting quite antisocial. But very quick...
Big thanks to Dave, Jenny & Neil for keeping everything running smoothly, and MSV for all sorts of input, not least the apple crumble :D
Put me down for next year Dave, it's worth the trip just for Gooseneck & Mansfield, so the pleasure of keeping it nailed all the way up the hill through Charlies is just a bonus

I could not agree more ........ a fantastic track, great bunch of people, interesting spread of different types of cars and an opportunity to experience driving the circuit in a variety of weather conditions :D
You are so right about the kerbs - some of them are definately no go areas  .
As a relative beginner it was great to be in the same group as the "regulars" who were not only extremely courteous when they swept past at high speed (with time to take a hand off the wheel to wave their thanks !), but also it was a great opportunity to follow them for a couple of corners to learn from their lines .......... before they disappeared into the distance !!
The session with the dry racing line was also extremely good for making sure you were on the right line .................. circuit driving the easy way .... similar to painting by numbers - excellent way of learning :)
Definately up for Cadwell again next year given half a chance please ?
Thanks to Dave and all everyone else involved.

This was my first time as Cadwell and I have to say it is a truly fabulous track. For me it was exciting to be in with the 'racers' and some other non-MG's (Cobra, M3, Metro()) with my K-series non-F, although in the afternoon I wish that I'd brought both cars up. The Caterham is blisteringly fast on a dry track but on evenly a mildly moist track the lack of weight over the rear wheel is a disadvantage and was positively mincing around and called it a day before I did myself a mischief.
On the issue of kerbs, for a car whose sump is only 3 inches off the ground they certainly focus the mind to keep on the black stuff although my friend who drove in one session had other thoughts :(
My next day is Castle Coombe but this time in the F, it will give me a bit more luxury when driving to, and from the circuit, my ears are bleeding from the drive home yesterday.
Once again a cracking day out and to be highly recommended to anyone considering a track day.
