The MG Car Club is 75 years old in October 2005. To celebrate this we are having an end of season track day and inviting all British marques to join us. Lotus, Austin Healey, Triumph, Jaguar etc. There will be four 15 minute sessions with no more than 25 cars on track at once, so plenty of space on Silverstone's National circuit. The cost per car is an amazing £118 which for Silverstone is as low as it goes. We'll probably have a couple of dedicated MG sessions and a couple of mixed marque sessions, unless one of the other clubs wants a dedicated session as well. Invite your British car owning friends to spread the word and end the season in style. Email me at Dave@mgs-on-track.com to reserve your place. I see only a few people have booked instruction... Having done Silverstone for the first time earlier in the year I promise you it's worth every penny at twice the price! Being such a fast & wide circuit makes finding the braking points & best lines by yourself a bit of a tall order, a mere ?20 investment in some professional guidance will more than pay for itself in avoiding unnecessary wear & tear. And you'll find yourself passing theoretically quicker cars too, always puts a smile on my face :D ________ E28

I'd be up for some training. Do we pay on the day, or do I need to send a cheque off?

Either drop Tim a cheque or call Kimber House and pay by card, as per the details here. Regards, Dave

Only got back from my Holidays the weekend before and had to get the MGB ready for a race at Cadwell on Sunday. Sorry. Did get 2nd in class but a bit of a queit race after the first lap or two. Also managed ot destroy the front spoiler in practice. I came into the tightening bend before the steep turn of the goosneck just a tad to fast and decided to abort the corner as it would never stop and turn in time - and I didn't fancy spinning off towards the barriers down the hill. So I opted to miss the first part of goosneck altogher by doing a dukes of hazard style leap over the grass. Slight excitment when regaining the tarmac (big slide) and then all back to normal - sans spoiler. The full cadwell circuit is fantastic. Double header round at croft in 2 weeks and then that is us done for the year.

Mike
Whilst I hope they're proved wrong, the weather reports suggest we may have a shower or two on Thursday, so anyone driving this circuit for the first time would be wise to be a bit cautious around Maggotts, if you run too wide you'll find yourself heading for a kerb that isn't quite as forgiving as you might expect... Lets hope the 2006 calendar is as much fun as this year has been! ________ Mazda 767
