Hi Peter
I've just chk'd the circuit details on our website and it states 98db so 100 is a bonus. Anything over 98 is potentially a problem, our V8 at Bedford came in at 96.5db
Hopefully you can sort it and join us mere mortals with less power

Here is the info on our trackday info sheets.
I have a noise meter arriving this week so I can check.
I may have to re instate the "cat" as that will reduce the higher rev "rasp" that it has.
I am also making some revised tailpipe inserts.
I only have around 175 to 180 hp so dont want to lose much.:D

According to this bit of kit Im making 94 to 95db of noise at the required distance.
Thats reassuring.
Feels noisier inside the car!!

I've seen cars fitted with additional tailpipe silencers at Castle Combe which I think Merlin Motorsport supply from their on site shop.

I'm waiting to see what the new exhaust I've fitted puts out when tested. Been in the box in the garage so long not sure where I got it from!! Looking at the Merlin Motorsport website they are taking orders over the telephone, so could always ring in an order and run over and collect it if necessary.

Merlin are open, in theory you order in advance and pick up from the shop but i just walked in and bought a fan controleer when i was down there in June and there wasn't a problem. Masks and social distancing of course!

On the day noise testing seemed a very relaxed affair!. I only pulled 4000 revs for the test. Nothing said.
Sticker on car....job done. I asked him what figure he recorded...90db.
I know some of you who have followed me think its noisy but now I have proof it isnt.....!!!;)
Well maybe its noisier when Im up between 6500 and 7000!!

Janspeed manifold, sports cat, no resonator and a Janspeed rear box was 90db last Saturday and the same yesterday. Not sure that a ZR with no exhaust at all would trouble the noise test at Combe. For sprints they use 2/3 maximum revs which is maybe 5k but still makes the tester smile at how quiet it actually is.

Mine is similar. Janspeed manifold no cat. mid box resonator and back box similar to Janspeed one. Mid and rear are all powerflow stuff made on a good day!!
Your car looked great BTW

Thank you. Was struggling a bit for speed on the straights, might need to meddle with the engine a bit!
