Hi All, I have drafted a newsletter but am just waiting on Andy Cook before sending to sort a minor glitch with one of our automated email accounts. When you book, at the moment you get an error page although the booking goes through and it is because the bookings@mgs-on-track.com email address has been deleted - probably by eUKHost who recently sorted out our email issues as they seemed to have removed anything not associated with a person. I have reinstated it but there is a password in the php code of the site which needs to match the email account password - Andy has said he will sort this one out tonight. As soon as we are sorted, I will send out the Newsletter and get Anglesey and CC2 open for booking.

Oh dear  I suppose I'd better start thinking about the 'Night before...' thread. Yep thought about it and under current legislation there is no where  Seriously i'll start to give it some thought, probably after Blyton

Don't you just love software. If Microsoft made cars: 1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day. 2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car. 3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this. 4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine. 5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads. 6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation" warning light. 7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying. 8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna. 9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car. 10. You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off."

I just need to test the booking system so am going to book for Anglesey as I am going anyway. If all is OK I will get the events open & newsletter sent.

Steve, they came to Goodwood 1 in Feb. I think they like our early season event to shake out for their upcoming racing season. They may not be up for our Autumn track days but then again if their racing has been badly truncated they just might be tempted....

I spotted this thread at Nigel's post yesterday at 9:35 and turned on watch & email notifications. I haven't received any notifications. Checking in this morning I can see that there have been 5 posts since I turned on the watch.

Ah, OK I know what has happened again. Andy Cook had to update the website@mgs-on-track.com password as the system uses this to send out booking confirmations. I need to update this i Xenforo. You should now get notifications again.

Just in case anyone is wondering, Anglesey is definately going ahead on 10 August. The limit of 30 people at 'gatherings' is being achieved by isolating the cars/drivers in each of the 20 minute track sessions (we are all in one session so will stay together). At the moment I understand that we will get our usual garage allocation so somewhere to store bags etc. The social distancing rules will still apply so most likely only 2 cars in each garage. Full details and indemnities will be sent out next week, indemnities to be returned by 6/8 latest. So if anyone is waiting for confirmation before bagging the last space, now is the time to book!
