24/01/2020 17:41:18 SlapHeadDiver Hi Howard, I get the feeling this maybe your first track day, at least with MGS on Track. I think you will find it a great day out with drivers who follow the rules of the track so that you can drive with confidence without unduly being concerned of others out there. You'll find plenty of space, particularly at Bedford as it it's a long circuit. My son and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express last year and had a good night. We originally planned to walk to another place to eat but the evening just floated on with general chatter until it wasn't worthwhile going out so ate in. I'm going to speak to my son over the weekend but I suspect we'll chose the same venue, whilst it's a bit further away we'll be able to have breakfast before heading out :-) I look forward to meeting you Mark

A session with an instructor would be a good addition to your day, if you haven't already booked a slot. Duncan and I are looking forward to taking the MG out again, it'll be the first track day since the engine rebuild so a bit of relearning. Off to Stoneleigh in the morning in the MG to get some steady miles in before Bedford and possibly pick up some bits too. Enjoy Goodwood, might get there again in October Mark

I'd be interested to hear what the Premier Inn is like, particularly for parking a van and trailer as we tend to bring the car on a trailer when it's more than an hour from home. Also what time does it start serving breakfast, many don't start till 7am which is too late as a rule hence we re-booked the Holiday Inn for both parking and breakfast :-) Regards Mark

24/02/2020 18:07:17 Rich Hi Mark, Only been to Bedford once, with Lot opl day. I stayed in the Travelodge north of the town, closer for the circuit. (No breakfast). Not been to the Marina Premier Inn, chose it because it has free parking, (and v. cheap), unlike the one in town where you have to use the multi-storey. I'll let you know what the car park is like, for future reference, when I see you. I usually have breakfast at whichever circuit, gives me an extra half hour in bed :). Cheers, Richard
