MOT until April 2019, MOT history since 2013 show no advisories.V5 confirms 1967 registration and historic status, now tax-free and MOT exempt. The car is in sound mechanical condition as is the underlying shell, but paint and bodywork is scruffy and in need of sorting. [B]Engine [/B]– Rover P6 3.5litre with Edelbrock 4 barrel[B]; Gearbox –[/B]SD1 LT77 5-speed[B]. Rear Axle [/B]– Converted MGB, 3.07 differential newly rebuilt[B]. Interior - [/B]generally good with leather front seats (but passenger seat however has 2 damaged leather panels and there is no rear seat fitted); 4-point harness in addition to existing driver’s inertia lap/diagonal. [B]Shell – [/B]late rubber bumper shell has been competently converted to accommodate the V8 and gearbox with strengthened leaf spring-hangers and sills. Driver/passenger floors replaced. Underneath is clean, solid and free of all but some surface rust. [B]Bodywork – [/B]fibreglass front wings and bonnet ; Some bubbling starting around the rear wheel arches and front door corners; Front valence rusty but new fibreglass Sebring-style replacement comes with car; Paint poor and needs to be redone along with the rusty bits. [B]Wheels[/B] - 5 minilite-style 15", Falken ZS914 tyres [B]General -[/B] mechanical improvements in last few years include: Brakes , Exhaust ; Front suspension; Rear suspension; Cooling; Clutch – new at 94484 miles; Back axle – fully reconditioned at 94516 miles . The car is a good driver and is used routinely in the summer including MGoT track days. It is an excellent basis for running renovation with all the mechanicals in place.
