This is a great opportunity for those of you who have been watching and waiting - wondering whether track days are for you. If you are an absolute beginner, then for just £55 you'll get three, 20-minute sessions on track between 5.30pm and 8.30pm. Only novices will be on track - all in MGs! There'll be plenty of help on hand from us experienced hands, who'll be more than happy to sit in the passenger seat with you and offer support and encouragement. ARDS qualified instructors will also be on hand to provide one-on-one tuition for an additional £25 per 20min session. Full booking details here. Email dave@mgs-on-track.com if you have any questions. Dave, A couple of questions from a first timer ;- It's about a 3 hour drive from here , so I will probably make a day of it...is the GP museum likely to be open in the afrernoon ? I feel I would benefit from some instruction , do I pay on the evening, or now ? Best regards, Mike
17/04/2005 19:59:36
Jennie
Hi Mike, It sounds a great idea to combine the evening with a visit to the museum! Donington’s web-site says that the museum is open 10am to 5pm every day, although last admissions will be 4pm. Have a look at http://www.doningtoncollection.com for more information. If you do definitely want instruction it would be best to book it in advance. However, you should also be able to book it on the evening depending how busy the instructors are. Kind regards Jennie
...I feel I would benefit from some instruction , do I pay on the evening, or now ?
Hi Mike, As jennie says, it's probably best to pre-book to secure a session. Send Tim Woolcott a cheque for £25 to cover it. Dave

Hi guys Thanks for the warm welcome! Just a quick note to say that I posted off the cheque last night and look forward to meeting you all on the 5th. My neighbour opposite is also an MG enthusiast (runs a Midget and an RV8) so I also passed the details of the event on to him but he needs to check his diary. Cheers Rich

Hi Dave. I am definitely still interest. I've been away from home for the last 5 weeks which is why I haven't responded sooner, but as I see places are still available I will get a cheque in the post to you tonight. Will have to take it easy as my car isn't run in yet  but doing highlander the weekend before should sort that ;) Steve

Great news - we seem to be the only club participating in this evening event and so we have the entire track time to ourselves. This means we have no pressure on places and can take as many Beginner's as we like. We'll probably start in two sessions and perhaps move to open pit lane by the end of the evening.
