11/09/2018 15:57:00 MGS Hi there, Coming to Goodwood for the first time & will need to stay at a hotel on the Sunday evening so as to get to the circuit bright & early on the Monday. I see there are a couple of Travelodges nearby which would be great but just wondered if anybody had stayed there before & if so which will be best as I will have a trailer with me. Looking at the limited pictures on the Travelodge website it looks like parking & car with trailer may be an issue. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks, Martin.

14/09/2018 05:47:58 Dave P Hi Martin, I have not stayed overnight close to Goodwood before but had the same problem at some of the more Northen circuits that we visit. I normally look at the hotels using Google maps as you can zoom in using the satellite mode and get a good view of the car park layout. Good luck and let me know how you get on. I might be tempted as well as I have to be up at 4.30 to get to Goodwood for the start of sign-on! Regards Dave

14/09/2018 15:56:06 NigelS Hi Martin, We have used the White Swan at Arundel in the past - they have a largish car park to the left of the hotel as you look at the front of it. More recently we have been staying at the Chichester Park Hotel - about 5 mins from Goodwood - cant remember whether you would be OK with a trailer there but as Dave suggested, Google maps are your friend!

19/09/2018 14:40:18 MGS OK, sorted. Using your idea Dave of google maps satellite view I have just booked Travelodge Fontwell Park @ £42 with wifi for the Sunday night. Used the discount code N4CC8D7B which took 10% off so actually paying £38.10 which doesn't seem too bad for a flexible booking cancelable up to the day of arrival. Only 10 minutes from the circuit so not too much of an early rise. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 29th! Martin.

20/09/2018 21:05:10 MGS Just in case anybody is interested if you use the code 15OFF on the Travelodge website you can book a flexible booking at the Fontwell Park hotel for Sunday the 28th of October, ie, the night before the Goodwood track day for £33.15. Basically 15% off the listed price of £39.00. Yes. if you want wifi or breakfast it's a little extra. I've just cancelled my original booking & rebooked!
