Just a polite hi to everyone, I've just recently bought a ZR160 to use/turn into a track car. I use to attend a few Honda on track days a few years ago with my old type r but since selling it I haven't done many track days. I tried to research affordable race series and came across the mg trophy, my plan is to slowly build the car up to 160 entry spec, doing track days as I go and the aim is to save up enough budget to hopefully do a season in a year or so time. I'll start a project/build thread up when I get chance but as for now just wanted to say hi to everyone

Hi Rob, Welcome to MGs on Track and most interesting to hear of your project. We would be very pleased to see you on track or before if you get a chance to come along before your car is ready do come and meet us. We have many members with ZR160s so there would be plenty to discuss and compare notes etc. Hopefully in the meantime you can make good use of our website where you will find a wealth of information about how we operate and unlike others we are very much a "sessioned" track day club allowing for drivers to make the most of their ability and car performance. However we do have very strict overtaking rules but it works very well and everyone is happy. We have experimented with Open Pit Lane on suitable circuits where we are running less cars and afternoons only but this is under review. As mentioned do come along if time permits and as you can see our next Event is Silverstone on the 27th March followed by Cadwell Park on the 24th April. Good luck with the project. Best wishes, Martin

Thanks for the kind welcome, I will try attend the cadwell setion, although I may not be driving but certainly to meet and watch. I have done 1or2 days with Honda on track where they had mg on track along with them so I'm aware of the overtaking rule, I look forward to meeting people and finding out abit more about my car
