Thanks to Tim & Fran and all the team for yet another great track day. In fact a big thanks to the committee who make these days possible and all carried out in such a relaxed and fuss free manner :) Colin, I hope it was just your bottom pulley at fault, that trailer has been worth it's weight in gold :p Cheers Richard

You are most welcome. This is my 9th year on the committee and I have decided to stand down at the AGM next year. Having already run Donny and Cadwell this year, Snet was probably my last track day as event manager. It was a great day which I thouroghly enjoyed. Look forward to driving more days. Tim

Zs Hi Richard, yes it was a great day with the normal slick running we get with MGOT, as you know my day came to an early stop. After looking I found the front pulley had come loose but there was also movement in the crank, I removed the engine and stripped it to find the crank had broken at the flywheel end. I have now brought the bits in to work to check them but I am sure the block is damaged and as the timing had shifted there are bent valves. At this moment I dont know how I will proceed but think this may be the time to retire will let you know Colin.

Hi Colin, Oh No! That's incredibly bad luck and we all at MGs on Track really hope you manage to find a sensible affordable solution that enables you to continue as we would all miss you. Do keep us all posted and if there is anything anyone can do to help or assist in sourcing parts etc just post here and I am sure there will be many willing hands shoot up. Once again really sorry to hear your news and agree that level of damage is obviously very serious indeed. Fingers crossed somehow you come by a 'short' engine or find a lump lying around somewhere..... All the best, Martin

Hi Colin That is bad news indeed :( . I suspect the way forward would be as Martin suggests, maybe a good used 160vvc. There are plenty of guys doing tf/z models so I am sure one of them could come to the rescue. Might be time to slow up and get a 'B', cheap as chips to fix, especially to a man of your talents! Good luck mate, hope you get sorted, if not a visit to Steve's one dark night.... Let us know how you get on, Cheers Richard
