21/02/2016 02:49:31 A35nutter I had a great day out at Goodwood yesterday in my MX5 (just sneaked in on the reserve list) I deemed my modified Magnette too slow for a trackday. Thank you to everyone involved, both MGoT personnel and Goodwood staff. I was a naughty boy and overtook on the Lavant kink so got a formal reprimand, but I did apologise to the Midget driver -sorry, I just got it wrong.In my favour there was no possibility of any contact as the other driver was well aware of me,but - them,s the rules. Track dried out just before lunch and I managed a PB of 100mph+ speedo reading flat out through Fordwater. Very wet after lunch but car behaved very well - driver less so as I eventually spun off at St Mary,s in the dying moments of the afternoon. No contact so no real drama. Real privilege to drive Goodwood but wasn,t it damn cold hanging around waiting for the next session ?
