Great video Steve, a fantastic reminder of what a super venue it is and brought back memories of my visit there. :D
It is such a shame that this event has always been so poorly supported by North / West MG owners, it has always struggled to sell. I suspect that if it wasn't for some Southern regulars making the long trip up and back it would have been a loss maker for the club. :(

My first time there and I think the Vid was about the third session, so I hadn't really had a chance to get to know the track before filming.
As I read somewhere before it's Brands Hatch and Cadwell, rolled into one. There's always something to do and keeps you on your toes, and would suit ALL cars of ALL performance levels. With the undulations, chicanes and Shell Oil Hairpin, which has plenty of camber, it really is like being on a roller coaster.
Certainly a circuit I would re visit and well worth the drive :p

Mmmm:mad:
A little unfair I think.
How many times Have there been any events in the northwest?
The last time MGOT was at Oulton was 6 years ago I believe....
I'm very grateful for all the hard work organising events like this by the MGOT committee, and will continue supporting them.
It's very difficult for an event to gain momentum with sporadic events, and I hope MGOT will build on this year's well run event.

Unfortunately it is rather a circular argument. We stopped running events at OP because they weren't supported and as a non-profit club, we can't afford to keep making losses. We (the committee) are keen to get OP back on the regular programme, but as you will probably have noticed, we didn't sell all of the places this time and it was a monumental effort by the committee to sell the places that we did. Having said that, we also suffered at Silverstone this year with the same problem, so may be more economy-based than geographical.
In support of your last sentence, we too hope to build on the success of this years event and return in 2016.

Let's try to get it talked about on social media early next year. I'm sure there are fewer potential trackdayers spread over a wider area, but I'm sure we can succeed !
We have similar problems encouraging people to our speed events at Anglesey, Scammonden and even Silverstone!
Word of mouth and social media should be our friends here!
