Done a few trackdays in the past, even had a trackday only car, so why do I always wait till one week before the trackday to do major work on the car I'll be using? Still, the new head and roller rockers are on and it's working, just need to tune it so it can pull more then 3k revs! See you at Brands, I'll be the one with the oily handprint coloured BGT. Andy P.S. If any psychologists can answer the first question please?

I'm no psychologist but I think it's perfectly normal. I think most of us turn up to trackdays with only half a car put back together. Anyway, where better to run a car in after some modifications than on a track?:)
So, how did the car hold out at Brands Andy?
Never got it running cleanly, so took the V8 instead. Big mistake, unsorted new suspension caused lots of roll oversteer! Added to lots of grunt, meant it was all too much for my skill level. Big spins! AndyB
