24/01/2005 18:59:23 Jennie It's an interesting point though. A guy a work was done for >100mph with a handheld radar recently. He's adamant he was going nothing like that speed (and it's not his usual driving style so I tend to believe him). He's requested the precision data and calibration details of the equipment used but the police won't hand it over. Makes you wonder... :confused:

Fortunately an investigative journalist alerted me to this fact yesterday following his conversation with the Listing Office, I then immediately contacted the Listings Office and confirmed the same, I also made it clear that this was totally unacceptable and I would immediately apply for an adjournment. Having made such a formal Application to the Birmingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday afternoon I have to report that they have totally ignored the same therefore I have since written to the Court informing them that I will not be attending the Court tomorrow and warned them that if they proceed in my absence an immediate appeal will be made to the Crown Court. Having received such an immense amount of support from the hundreds of decent people out there I felt it only right and fair to inform each and very one of them of the current situation and encourage them not to despair or give up, because I never will, this is only the beginning but I believe it will be the beginning of the end for the Gatso speed camera. 25/01/2005 13:38:02 Rob Bell If David Edgar doesn't get the support from a friendly and competent barrister, then his legal case could well founder on the rocks of court procedure... Which would be a shame, as it appears that he could be on to something here.
