Everyone should now have received their event guide and indemnity forms by email. Please read the event guide carefully, print out the indemnity forms and bring them with you on the day fully completed. If you haven't received the email please check your spam folder, as sometimes it will be in there. If it's not there see my contact details at the end of this post. The e-mail reads: Hi Everyone, Attached is the event guide for our Track Day at Goodwood circuit on Monday, 21st October. It contains all you need to know about the organisation of the day before you arrive. PLEASE ARRIVE IN GOOD TIME Sign-on begins at 07:15 and the driver briefing begins at 08:10 prompt. Please arrive at the circuit in good time as the timings between start of sign on and the briefing are tight, you also have to do the noise test in this time. If you arrive after the briefing has started you will have to wait for sign on and a briefing and you may well miss your first session. The gates to the circuit will open at approximately 07:00. PRINT OUT BOTH INDEMNITY FORMS AND BRING THEM FULLY COMPLETED There are two indemnity forms, you can help speed up sign-on considerably and reduce queuing time if you print out the indemnity forms. The MGoT indemnity form is a PDF attachment, the second PDF attachment is the Goodwood indemnity form. You must have one of each form for every driver and passenger ALL DRIVERS DON'T FORGET YOUR ROAD LICENCE Please don't forget your full licence - both the plastic and paper parts if you have the newer type. Every driver has to produce their licence at the sign on, passengers do not need to fill in their licence details on the indemnity or produce it at sign on. All cars must be road legal and conform to current MOT standards where relevant, unless you have agreed otherwise with the MGoT committee in advance. SESSION LIST There are four sessions all MGoT sessions, on track at 09:00, 09:15, 09:30 and 09:45. Please be aware of your session and start time, it is the drivers responsibility to be in the pit lane in time for the start of their session. The list of participants and sessions is at the bottom of the MGoT event guide. PLEASE CHECK YOUR PRE-BOOKED INSTRUCTION OR HELMET HIRE The session list also shows the pre-bookings for instruction and helmet hire. Please check that these are correct. SPECIAL FREE OFFER FOR 13 LUCKY PARTICIPANTS ON THIS DAY Goodwood Motor Circuit have a new activity which takes place on their skid pan, the Goodwood Drift Experience. Driving the new Toyota GT86 participants can have a 30 minute taster session of this new experience. This will run from 09:30 until 17:00 with a break for lunch between 12:00 – 13:00. To get a flavour of this offer have a look at this link http://www.goodwood.co.uk/motorsport/track-day-experiences/drift-experience.aspx Those wishing to take part must be in the Jackie Stewart pavilion 10 minutes before their session, so 09:20 for the 09:30 session, 09:50 for the 10:00 session and so on throughout the day. Participants must be aware that they may lose one of their track sessions when taking part in this experience. To take part e-mail your name and preferred time slot to Martin Charles at martinc@mgs-on-track.co.uk no later than 17:00 on Sunday 20th October. There are only 13 slots available and they will be filled on a first come first served basis. If you want the 09:30 slot it can only be taken by someone in the first group who are on track at 09:00, this is because all drivers must complete the sighting laps in their session in the first hour. This experience is offered exclusively by Goodwood Motor Circuits and is not under the control of MGs-on-Track, it is totally separate to the track day. If you miss any track time due to taking part in this offer you will have no recourse for compensation from either MGs-on-Track or Goodwood Motor Circuits Ltd. Neither will you be allowed to run out of session to make up for lost track time due to taking part in this offer.
