Due to cancellations by members unfortunately unable to make the day we currently have 2 spare places. They can be booked in the normal way through the website. If it gets to 9 pm evening on Sunday and there are still places available, rather than book through the website, please call me direct and I'll book you in and take the money in cash at signing on. The event guide with timing etc is on the preceding thread. John Dignan Event Manager Donington mobile: 07802 492559

Reckon the insurance company will write it off - book value is peanuts. Might try to buy the wreck and flog the bits. Just bled the brakes 'n all. Probably why I stopped and the three behind didn't! Lucky the fuel tank didn't split - had just filled up, and had another 20 litres in a can in the back. Could have been a rather toasty Paul. Looks like the TF for Brands after all, so I might be joining Steve B in the kitty litter!;) Damn rear wheel drive:rolleyes:

For some reason it was 'pick on me' day at Donington especially when I was about to show Dawn from CN the way around the circuit in my car... All my 'new friends' that had clearly never seen a woman before and were like Bees around Honey, were saying "Ooh, hang on Dawn" and such like! Is my driving that bad...........? :p

Was that you and Dawn that went straight on at the chicane? If so then an explaination is required! :)

Obviously just showing Dawn where the old chicane used to start :D

Dawn asked "What is that extra bit of road?"... So I demonstrated how safe motor sport is these days and how concrete run-offs help, just like gravel traps... The fact I was bedding in new rear pads didn't help and rather than go the wrong side of the chicane, I aborted the turn when I felt a slight lock up... Dawn, as CN's Marketing Manager, was very impressed with my quick thinking!

For "behind the bike sheds" read "behind the pits"? ZR will be written off. Investigating buying the wreck, so there may be a box of facelift ZR parts for sale soon...

Sorry to hear of your 'incident' ( with the accent on Dent! ) Paul but thank goodness you are personally ok as that's the important part. Nasty place to be our motorways when these wretched prangs happen and sadly they seem to happen more and more these days. We missed you at Donny but will be observing eBay for ZR bits with interest!!
