Hi iv got a 160 vvc zr and need to replace the discs and pads. What pads do people recommend? It is using 620ti calipers. Also don't want to be spending an arm and a leg just on pads but I understand you get what you pay for.

Find out which other cars your calipers were fitted to as standard; you may find a wider range of pad material available that way. MG Rover were good at raiding other manufacturers' parts bins, particularly Honda after their partnership with them.

Brake pads seem to be very much personal preference but I go for EBC Yellow Stuff for track day cars. I have been using them for 8 years or so and never had any fade on track (provided you bed them in first). The front pads for a ZR are DP41339 and are available from EBC direct. Look up the car on the web site and it will take you to standard and Green Stuff DP21339 upgrades but for some reason not Yellow Stuff. The part number is the same except the 2 changes to 4.

Just need to find the pad part number a and search for the cheapest set going.
