Looks like you had a good day. The occasional spin means your trying but its all the more embarrassing when you've just gone by someone. Too many spins can deplete piggy ;) I think it had more to do with a slightly late turn in which required that sudden additional lock rather than pure speed btw

The real embarrassing bit was my last session, with previous owner of the car Trevor on board. I didn't spin, but for about 3 laps I lost the plot completely, all my lines wrong. At the end of the pit straight going through the chicane I got it all wrong, off the circuit to the left, missed the marker post but it is like scalppings in the trap, straight through at about 60MPH. Trevor just said " all the touring car boys take that line, but usually after they've removed the marker post" It was a fantastic week with Castle Combe on Monday, 1200 miles all with roof down :D. Mind you it has come at a cost, F up with Matt Stephens at moment for full engine strip and rebuild, burning oil, 4 wheel alignment as steering out after trip off circuit mentioned above and the Toyo R888's on nearside completely shot.

Has Croft still got that nasty pothole on the exit of the hairpin?

Good for you - that's caused some people grief over the years. Shame that they can't seem to solve the problem.

Drove on all day in blissful ignorance and noticed it only when I got home  I think they leave it there to encourage people to stay on the tarmac ;)

So just as you take another bite of Humble Pie, Think of some well known phrases... Take your pick! * What goes around, comes around! * It pays to be nice to the people you meet on the way up, for you may pass them again on the way down! * When in a hole stop digging! * If you don't spin you're not trying!! ANY OTHERS ?? :p ** It'd be interesting to know 'if' to Anyone who owns an F, have you NOT spun it?

ANY OTHERS ? :p[/quote] Hmmmmmmm  No don't need any of those or any others. Simples really, the fault of the large nut holding the steering wheel. Spin out, analyise why and don't do it again, which is what happened on the day
