Finally the weather worked out for us. A nice clean event with only one red flag (a minor mechanical). Well done all for your good driving standards; staying on track ;) and letting faster cars by. I had no issues to deal with during the day and had very good comments from the Chief Instructor and Marshalls. Sorry to all those on the reserve list, the Cadwell tracksters were a tenacious bunch, only one early cancellation and a full turn-out on the day. I'm sure we will be trying to get a similar day organised for next year's calendar. Trevor took a lot of photos of the day which I hope will be in our gallery when he has found the time to sort and upload them. I also saw a number of cars sporting video equipment. Feel free to upload them to YouTube and post a link in this forum so that we can all enjoy memories of our day at this super circuit. Hope to see you all again on track soon. Bests Tim & Fran

many thanks Thanks to Tim and Fran for a great day. As Tim says (and as so many people said on the day) its the good track manners that make MG days so enjoyable as well as the friendly participants. (Happy to move over for a 'big modified' anytime - but I do try reeeaaallly hard not to let it be necessary too often!!!) Roger
.... Well done Trev' some cracking shots in there :D
Indeed, well done Trevor. I have just viewed the full slideshow. You must have done a fair bit of walking around the circuit to get that lot. Some really nice angles and perspectives there. Expect an email with my request for some full res files ;) .

Cadwell Photo's. Hi Guys, Thank's for the nice comments, I did manage to walk around nearly all of the circuit, the only bit I couldnt get to was the top side of the mountain ( typically the best bit for photo's )(but they wouldn't let me into that bit  .) Anyway overall I took about 520 photo's ( got a bit carried away you could say:rolleyes: ) but don't worry I won't download them all. I have about another 50 shots to download so try and do them tonight. If anyone wants any shots just send me your E-Mail address and I will forward them to you. Cheers Trevor.:) :) :)

Thanks to all who helped Luke, Kyle and myself, have a very enjoyable day. Shame it ended early due to my fabrication skills (alternator bracket snapped). :( Had some good comments from the people I talked to. There are some very quick cars amongst you. I was going flat out and still being overtaken! Hopefully should get round to editing the video's this weekend.
Nice for your first time out. Is that the alternator pulley we can hear on the left hand bends.
Yes thats it. :( In this video it gets worse which is why I stopped before the end of the session. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IwSwA3Cqro
Andrew, Great video and a quick Clubby you have there :D Two questions, what camera are you using? Wheat is the sound like the exhaust scrapping on the ground?
The video is taken with a GoPro camera. Luke bought it as I said they were too much money to spend. The alternator bracket snapped making the pulley rub on the side of the subframe. It was ok in a straight line but when cornering caused the alternator to twist. When fixed properly they only clear by about 5mm. It didn't affect the driving. We think it broke in session 3 as one of the guys came to ask if something had fallen off the car. At that time I didn't see anything wrong. It drove perfectly for session 4, but on session 5 it just gets worse and worse. The new stronger and better welded bracket, also fitted with 12mm bolt instead of the standard 10mm one. All fitted and working again now. I also have got a set of vented 240mm front brakes off an MG F as the brakes were hard work on track. I don't have a servo either so intend to fit a remote one when I get time. Anyone who's interested can see what was involved in making this car. http://www.16vminiclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27565 ;)
