North Weald
Looks interesting. Never been to a track day. Might be interested in taking my 260SE ZT round just for the experience. More info please. North Weald is less than 30minutes from me.

Well I have paid for this experience. Be bringing the "Loud One", or Blue Thunder as she is better known.

Hi Bob,
You'll have a great time learning the limits of the 260 and perhaps yours as well. Then once you've done that get her out on track where you can really explore the cars potential in way you never could on the road. :D
You join a long list of 260 owners to join us and not just in the ZT, we have seen a number of ZT-T's over the years as well - great cars all.

I and Tom would like to thank all involved for a great day, despite much tyre shredding.Just the sort of day to allow those who have an interest in cars to further it safely. We both take no responsiblity for the hilarity in the old man's only turn.

Sadly I did not find the day 'fun'. And shall not be attending anymore days. Reading the orginal ad I was under the immpression that an instrutor would be going with you to show you the ropes. To be told to push the car up to 70mph and throw into the corner without touching the brakes scared the life out of me. :(
I might have done this with my other ZT but not with the V8.
I do have photo's taken by our photgrapher and post them up if you want. (What size must they be?)

I was under this impression too: "The day is run by experienced instructors with an emphasis on driving technique." There wasn't a great deal of emphasis.
Nevertheless on the whole the day was enjoyable, and it's given an impression of handling capability [mine and the car's]. It was particularly good to be able to talk to other owners. I'm not sure what my rather spectacular exit from the initial exercise has done to the car though. It's definitely different now. It may just be that the tyres need a few hundred miles to settle down again.

I'd like to see them, as would others who were interested in the event.

I am sorry that the day did not meet expectations for some of the drivers but there was no intention to mislead in the description. The event is run for us by an outside organisation and the instructors that they provide are all experienced race instructors however with one instructor and 23 cars it is not practical to give 1:1 in-car tuition. If we booked more than one instructor it would push the price up to an unacceptable level and we would still have the problem of 'rationing' the time in each car.
I am sure we would all appreciate it if the photo's could be made available. You can upload onto this forum (see attach files in the 'additional options' that show when you reply to a thread) but if there are a number of them it may be easier if you put up a link to a photo sharing web site.
