Have to agree with Bigfoot above - another great day by the MGoT team. The weather was like a day in June, and certainly beat the hailstorm of 6/7 years ago :)
Thanks all.

I have to agree, the day was spectacular!.. The organisation was excellent. Many many thanks to all those who were involved in making the event happen.
This was my first MGOT event and I was very pleased to see some of the most polite trackday driving I have ever experienced. Slow cars moved over and waved through quickly, faster cars remained patient and kept decent distances while waiting for straights...
I'll hopefully see you all at Combe (if someone drops out!!)
Martin :)

Really glad you enjoyed your first outing with MGoT, Martin. We look forward to seeing you again very soon. Watch out for the next e-mail newsletter as that lets you know when events go on sale.
Oh, and great to see you all yesterday, a great day socially as well!
As a participant yesterday, I can only echo the views above. A fantastic day, unbelievable weather for March and a brilliant, fun, fast track to drive. Many thanks to those who gave up their time (Dave L, Steve H & Instructors), so that we could all enjoy ourselves!
Great to see so many of you yesterday, a great day socially as well.
I have a fair few pics to post when the thread is ready.
cheers Nick
Hi Nick,
I've put up a Silverstone - 26th March Gallery.
Brent - The pictures you uploaded last night had gone into your personal album, if you want them in the Silverstone gallery then make sure that is the destination when uploading them - You couldn't do that last night as there wasn't a Silverstone Gallery so it will default to your personal album.
Also I hope you don't mind, I've moved all those pictures from last night, I've taken them from your album (which people might not find) into the Silverstone - 26th March Gallery
Nic - Same rule applies to you when you upload - make sure the destination is the Silverstone Gallery.

Forgot to mention it above, but one of the highlights of my day was the arrival of Michael Sparks ;)
Was sorry to hear that the B was in bits, but the XK150 Drophead Coupe he arrived in was a stunning example of a beautiful car.
I think it was Dick who threatened to see how fast he could get it round Copse.....!

Hi All,
I had a great day, and good to see some very powerful MGB V8s, and of course Paul's supercharged MGB. I will have to get my MK2 Midget finished soon and bring it to the next one. !
I was the one in the Blue Triumph TR6, and if anyone has any pictures of it, it would be great to see them.
Many thanks in advance.
Kind regards
Tom.

I forgot to visit the official photographer, before leaving the circuit... Who was he? Does he have a website? Hopefully he hasn't wiped all the images yet!
Can anyone help?
Thanks Martin

Hi Martin,
The event photographer is Nic Barrett of XtremePhotography.
E-mail Nic here with the event date, car make, model, colour & reg,
xtremephotography@live.co.uk Nic will then get back to you, sometimes takes a few days if they are away on an event - they do European days as well. Don't worry though Nic doesn't delete anything

Second all the above!
Unheard of to have to walk along the shady side of the pits to keep out of the sun! I really enjoyed myself , but had a progressively non-functioning clutch pedal. Meant I quite often was lurching round Vale or Luffield with a box full of neutrals until I could get it back into gear. Then as I set off on the fifth session, I got as far as 4th gear when the pedal went to the floor, so did the whole session stuck in 4th - a bit slow out of Vale and the Loop, but I didn't have to worry about changing gear! My pal came along to take photos - on a roll of 35mm film, so I've to get it processed. Should have a good variety of participants on it.

Hi Michael,
I'm just editing some in car video. You overtook us on the straight after the arena complex and soon after your reverse lights came on. Slightly concerning but didn't seem to slow you down all that much.. Good to see you there.

I was steadily losing clutch fluid, so if I didn't get it cleanly into 3rd at Brooklands (and Becketts and Vale!!) it was a bugger trying to get back into any gear at all - it's an overhauled gearbox I just had fitted, and the synchromesh was too darned good. I was no doubt stirring the lever around while trying to keep the car on track in neutral. At least I managed to keep pointing the right way:cool: Hope to catch your video on YouTube!
