Dave
Hello everyone, Attached is the event guide for our Track Day at Donington this coming Monday 10th October. It contains all you need to know about the organisation of the day before you arrive. PLEASE ARRIVE IN GOOD TIME Sign-on begins at 07:30 and the driver briefing at 08:25. Please arrive in good time to sign-on and attend the briefing as well as prepare your car. PRINT OUT THE INDEMNITY AND BRING IT FULLY COMPLETED You can help speed up sign-on considerably and reduce queuing time if you print out the attached MGoT indemnity form (Appendix A) and bring it with you fully completed, Please ask your 2nd drivers and passengers to do the same. DON'T FORGET YOUR ROAD LICENCE Please don't forget your full licence - both the plastic and paper parts if you have the newer type. All cars must be road legal and conform to current MOT standards unless you have agreed otherwise with me in advance. THERE ARE THREE 20-MIN SESSIONS EVERY HOUR * The Red session is on the hour i.e. 9:00, 10:00 etc. and is the intermediate group * The Blue session is at twenty mins past the hour i.e. 9:20, 10:20 etc. and is the first-timer/novice group * The Green session is at forty mins past the hour i.e. 9:40, 10:40 etc. and is the experienced group The attached session list has provisional allocations at present, as we still have 10 places that are unsold. If more people book before the day I may have to re-arrange the allocation. However, if there is anyone who thinks that they are in the wrong group please let me know. The groups are organised using a combination of experience level and car bhp as in your user profile on your website registration. If you think this is out of date, it would be a good idea to go online and update it for future reference. PLEASE CHECK YOUR HELMET AND INSTRUCTION BOOKINGS Please check your bookings on the attached session list, as it has been known for the booking system to occasionally lose a helmet or instruction booking. I will allocate instruction slot timings before the day. I don't want to do this right now, as there may be further bookings. There are still instruction slots available, so email me if you want one and I'll see what I can do. FIRST-TIMERS SHOULD RECEIVE MORE INFO SOON The first-timer/novice group will contain around ten absolute first-timers as well as novices with just one or two track days under their belt. First timers should receive a further email from Dave Pearce, the committee member organising the first-timer programme for the day. If you don't receive this please contact him at davep@mgs-on-track.co.uk (not to be confused with my email address - dave@mgs-on-track.com!) ANY QUESTIONS? Please feel free to email me or call me with any questions before the day. Several other committee members will be helping me out on the day, but I will be your main point of contact throughout. Regards, Dave 07740 582830
