Apologies for the website being down yesterday. The server was subject to a hacking intrusion on Friday which resulting in our hosting company needing to shut down the database server. Your Credit and Debit Card details remain secure, we do not store card data within the MGs on Track website; payments are handled by a separately managed external secure system run by SagePay. Our hosting subcontractor tells us :-
From initial investigations into the server log files, it appears the hackers wanted access to the server to install their own website which was phishing for logins to a Spanish bank. They appeared not to be interested in damaging any websites or data on the server, rather they just wanted to use it for their own nefarious means. From what we can tell, the website data & files were never compromised in any way. Just to clarify, from what we can tell, at no time was any personal data compromised, they simply gained access to the server to install their phishing site.
A quick look through our bookings database, forum and website this morning confirms that all remains as it should be. So - onward with our main activity of running track days. Look forward to seeing many of you on track over the coming months. Spaces remain at Croft and Cadwell, both superb circuits and very well worth experiencing, even if the drive there is somewhat further than many of our other circuits. Tim.
