I did the North Weald day 2 years ago but have never managed to take the plunge to do a full blown track day. I've made a conscious decision that 2011 is the year to change that. I've booked a session with the ARDS Instructor to show me the ropes. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Got a couple of little jobs to do on the car before the day to get it ready. I've also enjoyed reading the write ups people have done on their experiences - particularly the first timers. Great reading for a noob like me. Praying for good weather.

11/01/2011 07:43:34 Martin C Hi John, Good to see you've taken the plunge, Goodwood is a great place to start, only 10 cars on track at once, so plenty of room. Yes you'll have all the usual nerves we all had first time on track, will I get in the way, will I make an idiot of myself :confused: But trust me, take your time, listen and ask any questions you want, both before and particularly on the day. By the end of the day you'll be like hundreds of other F/T's...........:D Look forward to seeing you there.

I haven't done as many as I would have liked lately but other things in life take priority. I'm looking forward to the day as I have not been around Goodwood since '92.
