It looks like the weather is going to add your challenge at masterering Combe tomorrow, have a look at the latest Met. Office prediction here, http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/sw/devizes_forecast_weather.html As there are no garages or shelter in the paddock at Combe, remember to pack some plastic bags to cover the things that you will have to take from your car. There is some room for you to leave small personal bags in the Tavern Club House. But please remember, Items are left entirely at the owners own risk, neither Castle Combe Circuit, The Tavern Clubhouse or MGs-on-Track can accept any liability for anything that is lost, stolen or goes missing. There will be times during the day when the area will be unmanned, so I would advise against leaving valuables unattended anywhere. Unfortunately I have to work, but I hope you all have a great day :D Martin.

Oh Bugger We didn't have time to clean the car so Fran paid one of those mobile valets that occasionally swings by our works car park to do it. He put that lovely slippery black stuff all over the tyre walls and round the shoulders. Perfect dressing for a wet track day I don't think !! Just been out to look since our 180 mile round trip to Kimber House yesterday, its still sat there happily there evidenced by beads of water all over the tread :( Best I put the charity £20 ready in my pocket now ;) Tim

Great Day The weather was not a problem after all as the rain held of until after our last run at 16:00. I got home around 17:00 and it just started so I assume those sessions after ours were also dry. Had a great time, thanks to all the guys (no pun intended) and gals that organised today. Really smooth getting us in and out on the track and a lovely bunch of drivers as well. There was a lot of interest from the other drivers with the Metro Turbo, they can still draw the crowds lol. Apart from our small misfire problem, which I put down to letting the tank get too low on fuel, doh, the turbo ran like a little sewing machine, we might not be very quick but it does stick to the road round corners. We had great fun, thanks once again to the organisers. Jim (William) Lott and Sam Brown

:) Just like to add my thanks to everyone for yesterday, you even managed to organise the weather perfectly.Great day. The track staff were very efficient at getting us out for every session, and for my first visit to Combe,I found a 15 min session was plenty time on track. Maybe there is something to learn here? Four sessions per hour instead of three, would enable more cars to take part if needed, and better still if poss., less cars per session.Perhaps it could be tried at another track? Once again, thanks to all the organising team, one of my best track days on a super fast circuit.Maybe the Trophy will be out next time,Guy! Cheers,Dave Abram

Interesting thought Dave . Anyone else up for a slightly cheaper day with 15 min sessions. Would only work on the shorter circuits; with places like Silverstone GP we would loose too much time clearing the circuit before letting the next session out.

Just a thought but at Combe dont they let the next session out before the last car from the previous session is off the track ... Once all cars have acknowledged the end of session dont they give half a lap time before letting the next group loose to play .. Seems to work VERY VERY well at Combe ..

Indeed you are right Gary but it only works because the circuit's marshals are all signed up to it. Something we've worked on over the years. I think we would get pretty short shift if we tried going to MSV and telling them how to operate their circuits ;)
