Could somebody please clarify paragraph 17 of the indemnity form ? As I read it - 'We' are not allowed to upload our videos to YouTube or any other "public media", unless we 'cough up' £25,000 !!!

Hi Chris, I have had a discussion tonight with Tim Guy, this clause is in the indemnity because it is a clause in Silverstones terms and conditions we have signed as hirer of the venue. It is to protect Silverstones commercial interests from somebody using such images for financial gain. If somebody did then Silverstone would come after us for the £25,000, hence we would need to come after the copyright holder. It is extremely unlikely that should you upload video to your personal storage file on youtube, that they would come after you, lets be honest there are hundreds of Silverstone track day video clips on there. So basically the clause is there and binding, if you choose to upload video or use stills images it is your decision knowing there is a risk. Martin

Thanks for that, Martin. Of course, now I've mentioned it - I probably won't have anything worth posting, anyway:rolleyes:

Martin.
