Can anyone recommend a good , comfortable , B&B for 2 nights should we decide to give Rockingham a visit ...An evening meal would be a bonus for us oldies ... Travelodge is available but is not very sociable or near the track ... And we dont want too much greasy food ...Bad for the heart we believe .. Any suggestions ????

B&B near Rockingham Hi Gary I've booked at the Old Plough B&B in Caldecott http://www.oldplough-rutland.co.uk/ which is supposedly 5 minutes from the track. Cost £30 plus a £iver for breakfast. Have not stayed there before, so can't give personal recommendation, but the website looks OK, the lady I spoke to sounded very sweet ... and there's a pub right across the road :o Best regards Peter

Unfortunately, the way spaces are selling, it looks like we're going to take a pasting on this new venture. I can't see us wanting to go there again unless we can find partners to guarantee taking at least two of the three sessions. Our break even point is two cars short of the full event. At the end of the day MGoT makes no profit, so losses ultimately have to be funded from other days. You will note that the second session is now MG & mixed marque. Please all contact your friends and see if anyone wants to join us there. Help us to keep prices down.

I also note that some of those who were keenest to have a day here are yet to book a place? I agree I would not vote for us to return here as the promoter and would be very wary of taking a session with a partner, it clearly does not appeal to the majority. But the question is why? Too Modern? Bad location? Come on members give us some clues please!

Indeed work does play a huge part for the majority of us as to what we can and can't do. I myself was not due to go to this one, we had a large plant shutdown for annual maintenance scheduled for this Monday. But as luck would have it, it has been brought forward a week and now I can come out to play :D Hope you manage another day later in the year :) Regards, Martin.

Would Mazda RX8’s be welcome in the mixed session? I could add a post on the RX8 Owners club site… Bit of a long shot but it may be of interest to some on there...
