So 2009 Track Days have finished and many of us look forward to 2010 .. A VERY BIG THANK YOU must be sent to the MGoT Committee and all helpers who have worked so hard this year and given us , the drivers heaps of fun .. Without the hard work of these guys and gals ( No pun intended Tim & Fran ) our fun on track would be seriously curtailed ... Once again thank you Committee ... Happy Xmas to you all from Gary , Denise and BVZ the ZR ... See you at Bedford in February .. It's sure to be COLD ..

Totaly agree A big thanks from me as well. 10 years of owning my F and only this year have I discovered the joys of track days. It's all down to your dedication and hard work on our behalves. Well organised and at a price that I can afford ( just). Also a big thanks to all the other MG drivers that I have met for their advise and friendly behavior on track. One final thanks goes to all the marshals and others at the tracks. Stuck out arround the track in all weather must deserve a special thank-you. Have a great festive season and see you next year, Dave:) :) :) :)

Me too! Faultless organisation and flexibility. What more can we ask for? Apart from Thruxton, of course, we can but dream... May not make Bedford - ZR needs some TLC. Should have new wheels and tyres for the TF by then if I can prize it away from the missus for a couple of days! Seasonal Felicitations, Paul B:p
What more can we ask for? Apart from Thruxton, of course, we can but dream... Paul B:p
Hi Paul, We have looked at Thruxton, but it has a very stringent noise limit, 95db IIRC, therefore we felt that the majority of members cars would struggle to pass the test, even with additional silencing. It also has to be remembered that it is a total power circuit and would be very testing for the older models for a full day, the likes of the B's and Midgets. For these reasons we felt it was not a viable option for the club. However are you aware that Thruxtons own track driving experiences in their wide range of performance/supercars can be booked using Tesco clubcard points discount. Martin

Martin
It was actually 90db - virtually impossible even for a standard MGF!

To give this a point of reference my own car (MGF) fitted with a standard exhaust tips 91dB, without the big ITG air filter that might come down to something just under 90!
