Come on you guys, give us the low down!
What's JC like in the flesh?

Nice write up there Bob - so what did you guys get to see? What was in the studio, and which star was in the reasonably priced car this week?
And will we be seeing much of the MGoT crowd on camera this coming Sunday? :)

Great stuff Bob, thanks.
Dave, did you let the Stig have a blast in your car!?

And who are those two characters sitting in the presenters chairs in the picture? It wouldn't be the BBC's latest recruits, Bob and Dave would it???

Hey! We can't give the game away!
Sunday, 8pm, BBC2.
All I will say is that during the audience piece on mid-size saloons "someone" offered the idea of an MG ZS.....and lived.
The guest is a rising TV host of Irish origin and he's up there with Jodie and JK even though he went off-road ;)
And what ever you do don't buy a BMW X3 or if you already have, sell it....fast.:(

Wasn't even on my radar Bob ;)
Hmm... ZS... Autocar rated it pretty highly in their recent Handling Tests - came in at 17 (out of 20 cars tested) - with plenty of complimentary comments. It actually beat the massively expensive MG SVR...
Having seen the ZS hoon around tracks these last couple of years, I think that these cars could become the track saloon car of choice in years to come... :D

Got in a little late last night so missed the first 15 minutes of the show, but avidly scanned the audience to see if I could see any of you guys. I think I saw Phil at the front of the crowd towards the end of the show - but did anyone else spot the 'MGoT team'?

Yep, Phil Brindley came into shot quite clearly towards the end. Elswhere, you'd really have to know where people stood and press the pause button on a recording, just at the right time, to check a crowd shot ;) One of my daughter's managed to spot me behind some string mesh hanging off the Land Rover in the X3 item, but when I watched it I was amazed that she managed to do that - I wouldn't have been able to, had I not known where I was standing!
A piece that involved more audience participation unfortunately never made the show, so I guess a number of us are on the cutting room floor!

Sorry Rob, pressed the edit key by mistake!
I think that I spotted Dave, through the mesh in the back of the Land Rover.
It looked like he was in prison! :)

The bit where someone suggested an MG per chance?

Ah ha! So we know who the perpertrator of that comment was now! :p

Nice try Rob but it was Paul Lathwell during the "Top Three" item.
Each week they pick a different class of vehicle (4x4, city car, coupe etc) and decide (with the audience's help) on the top three, bit like the Cool Wall only a bit lame. During filming JC and co didn't seem overly keen the idea would work and sure enough, come the final cut it was obviously dropped.

My brother phoned to say he saw me in the audience "you had a red top and your glasses on didn’t you" he said. My reply was " no Tim, Black top and contact lenses" He will think I’ve got blond hair next?!?
Bobs write up is spot on! It was a long way to drive (for me in Somerset anyway) but defiantly well worth it. Can’t wait to see the group photo of us all on the stage. If anyone else wants a chance to see the Top Gear gang live in action go to see the MPH04 show at Earls Court in November, I am trying to see if I can get a group booking on the cheap so will keep MGoT informed.
