I agree. It was a great day, good circuit and excellent weather.
I hope everyone enjoyed the day.

I agree, a fantastic day. Apologies to all fellow Red Session drivers for the red flag during the second session after lunch. I pulled out of the pits and the engine died. Sterling work by the marshals to recover me and get the session going again. The problem turned out to be a split fuel hose that was sucking air and not the £1.15p 98 octane stuff that I had purchased earlier from the circuit filling station.
Many thanks to all who tried to get me going again. Much appreciated. I eventually enlisted the help of Barry Chaplin at Motorsport International based at the circuit. Very helpful chap who undertook a temporary get you home repair that worked.

Hi everyone.just like to say thanks to Tim and everyone for another great MG on T. day at Snett. It looked fairly full to me so I hope that it was financially OK for you in the end.Good job done.
Snett is definatly underated, being very difficult to get right, especially the fast sweeping corners Corum and Riches. There's a good reason why its Brtains busiest test track!
Hope to see you all again in June.
Regards,Dave Abram.

Hi Tim ..While I am still on a high after a fantastic day these are my thoughts on the circuit ...:D :D :D
1. Bomb Hole ...2. Riches ..3. Coram ..
All have an Apex you cannot see or aim at untill you arrive at it ...Or NOT ..As may sometime happen ..:(
And the Bomb Hole has an exit that you hope you will arrive at correctly ...
4. The Esses ...Keep me busy all the way through ..
5 & 6 ..Sear & Russell ..They dont excite me much ...
Dont know how fast I am going as I dare not take my eyes of the track ...
Having had you follow me perhaps you can give me an idea if it is more than 75 mph ...
Well that is how I see the circuit from BVZ ....

Great circuit
Certainly a great circuit. Not often that the ol' ZT manages to oversteer rather than understeer :D

Another great MGs day
Another great MGs ontrack day. That was my 3rd with the club now, and all have been great.
Snetterton is a great circuit and the lack on rain meant speeds could be graduly increased, to a point where I wouldnt have believed I could at thgo that fast @ beginning of the day.
Nice smokey brakes @ the end of our last session proved we were really moving some.
Thanks again, see you @ Mallory

My Civic was just touching 120MPH at the end of the Revett Straight. I am sure that the CSL and the very nicely presented and quick Tomcat were going much quicker.

Mmmmm....I was only getting 105 and a tad more if I felt very brave before braking ...:o
Time to change make of car and model ????
120 mph impresses me much ..
BVZ will sulk for a year if I mention this to him ...

Well, what can I say about my first ever track day? Brilliant! I personally was pleased with 95mph at the end of the straight - quite enough for me to cope with. I was pleased with how my little ZR coped with the bendy bits - Jamie's instruction was well worth the extra £10 - Great to meet some of you - thanks for the welcome and for looking after me - saving up for my next outing ...

Can I persuade anyone to write up their experiences?
Articles to tempt others to join in the fun are the best way we can widen membership and reduce our risks in organising days. We have access to both the MGCC and MGOC club magazines as well as the MGF Register journal and MG Enthusiast magazine - not to mention our own website. Take your pick :)
Please email dave@mgs-on-track if you can string a few words together and perhaps throw in a photo.

Yeah that tomcat was on fire. It must have one of those 'double-decker' diffusers everyone is banging on about. :p
