I really want to make this my first track day. I have one booked at Mallory in July, which I will be doing in my Mustang. I would like to do this one in my ZT 260. But I need to replace the front disc's and pads, change the engine oil and filter, change the gearbox oil, and possibly fabricate something to reduce the noise from the X-Power exhausts. I tried to locate some harder compound pads, I found a part number for Mintex 1144 pads, but I could not find a supplier. So I have ordered the standard Mintex "Red box" disc and pad set. I hope they will hold up? The oil change in the engine and box are not a problem. Except the £75.00 for the Castrol Edge engine oil. Again I just need to try and find the time to change the disc's and pads. The thing that will probably delay me too much, is if I need to reduce the volume of the exhausts? I have been told that they would be too loud for Bedford. But I wonder what your views are on them passing at Snetterton. I should probably wait for a latter track day, but I received an email, regarding the un-used spaces and thought that I should go for it. SJR
