This will be my first event so not completely sure about what to expect but no doubt I will love it and be back as many times as I can be :p
Any tips for a track noobie then? Got a day this weekend to do anything needed on the car as long as it stays dry lol
Hi,
We all started somewhere, it will seem quite daunting after the briefing, it is a lot to take in first time. But the simple thing to remember is it is not a race and nobody is going to spot you and sign you up for McLaren :D . Start slowly and build your pace up during the day and remember to use your mirrors and you'll be fine.
Simple really make sure all the basics are right, all the levels correct, no leaks, brakes properly adjusted and plenty of meat on the linnings. Tyre pressures correct, usually a couple of psi higher than normal, but several of us carry pumps and gauges. Wheel nuts tight and lastly the big nut behind the steering wheel correctly set ;) and away you go.
You'll love it and look forward to seeing you.
Cheers,
Martin.
