Goodwood Half-Day Opportunity

We have the offer to join a summer half-day at Goodwood courtesy of John Willcocks who many of you will know as one of our regular instructors at Goodwood circuit. The details are in his email below:

We have the opportunity for another 105db afternoon at Goodwood, I hope that you are able to join us.

Please find registration and payment details on this link.

The link will close when we reach 30 cars. This will give you plenty of track time during the afternoon.

Confirmation of received payments will be by email as soon as possible each day.

Track will open at 13.30 and close at 17.00. You may arrive at any time during the morning but please park in Paddocks 3 and 2.

No cars or trailers to be left in Paddock 1.

Sign-on will be open from 12.30 and drivers briefing will be in the Race Control building (adjacent to the pit exit) at 13.00.

You’ll only need your road licence to sign on. No paperwork!

Two drivers per car maximum. Passengers are not limited but do need to register on the same link.

We will be unable to refund you if you need to withdraw unless we have reserves.

You can, of course, source replacements, acceptable to the organisers, yourselves.

Final details will be sent closer to the date.

Look forward to seeing you with a dry, if not sunny afternoon in the company of fellow Goodwood Track fans.

 Kind regards

 John and Ed

DVLA consultation on historic vehicle registration processes

As a Branch of the MG Car Club, we have been invited to respond to a Government survey on historic vehicle registration. This survey also includes a number of questions on rebuilt vehicles - a lot of ours fall into these categories. The FBHVC have done the heavy lifting for us and we need to respond by either agreeing or not with the FBHVC responses rather than having to answer each of the 50 questions individually. I would urge you to respond ASAP please.

Snetterton 300 opens for bookings 9:00 am this Thursday, 4th April.

Join us at the home of the British Touring Car Championship on Tuesday 28th May

Our Track Day at the fantastic Norfolk Circuit of Snetterton takes place on Tuesday the 28th May and the day opens for bookings this Thursday at 9:00 am.

Snetterton has undergone major redevelopment in recent years extending the circuit by one mile by the addition of a significant in-field section drawing inspiration from iconic motorsport corners such as Monza's Parabolical and the Montreal Hairpin. Thankfully, the excellent Riches, Esses, Bomb Hole, Coram and Russel bends remain.

This will be a three session per hour day with just one dedicated MGs on Track session.  It’s great value at an MGCC member price of £180. As usual there are great instruction and coaching options too.

So, do join us if you can. Bookings open 9:00, Thursday 4th April

We look forward to seeing you on track.
