Dave
I emailed the Silverstone event guide to all participants today. Here is the cover email and attachment: Attached is the event guide for our Silverstone GP track day this coming Monday 17th March. Please can you confirm receipt by return email and the read it carefully! Thanks. PLEASE ARRIVE IN GOOD TIME Please arrive in good time - around 07:00 to sort yourself a garage and to be at Race Control for 07:15 sign-on. PRINT OUT THE INDEMNITY AND BRING IT FULLY COMPLETED We have 70 MGs to sign on so please print out the indemnity in the attached event guide and bring it with you fully completed. This will save us all time. DON’T FORGET YOUR ROAD LICENSE AND MOT CERTIFICATE Please don't forget your full license – both the plastic and paper parts if you have the newer type. Also bring your MOT certificate or registration document if the car is less than 3 yrs old. All cars must be road legal. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SESSION ALLOCATION IN THE GUIDE The guide also contains session lists. We have two of the three 20 min sessions every hour. Please check your session allocation and let me know if you are seriously unhappy with it. The Red session (at 20 mins past each hour) is for the more experienced and/or faster cars and the Green session (at 40 mins past each hour) for the less experienced and/or slower cars. Obviously there is a border line between the two, across which the people/cars are fairly similar. However, you have to draw the line somewhere to keep the groups with even numbers. The experience and car data comes from your website user profile and that's what I've used. ALSO CHECK IF YOU'VE PRE-BOOKED INSTRUCTION OR HELMETS The lists also include pre-booked instruction and helmet hire. Again please check that I have the correct details for you. If I’ve missed something please let me know immediately. THERE ARE A FEW MORE INSTRUCTION SLOTS AVAILABLE If you are a beginner and have not booked instruction (£10 per session) I strongly advised you to do so. Just reply to this email and I will try to fit you in. I always prioritise the instruction schedule to give beginners the earlier time slots. We’ve certainly got capacity for more instruction slots in the afternoon. An early afternoon slot will still give you a couple of sessions afterwards. DON'T QUEUE ON THE STAIRS - UNLESS YOU HAVE A LOTUS! When you arrive at Race Control for sign-on please politely bypass any queue on the stairs, as these should be Lotus on Track drivers. Come right in to race-control 1st floor and walk past the counter to the room behind where you should see the MG sign-on queue. DRIVER BRIEFINGS The MG driver briefing will be in race control at 08:15. The Lotus guys will be on track first and will have a separate briefing to make sure they get out on time. VARIOUS STICKERS! We’ve just bought a new supply of MGoT logo stickers and MGoT website url stickers – these will be available at sign-on along with MGoT Baseball caps J ANY QUESTIONS? Please feel free to email me or call me with any questions. I'm going to be tied up from Wed thru Sat inclusive, but you should be able to catch me in the evenings or on Sunday. I’ll check emails every evening. Regards, Dave 07740 582830
