11/04/2005 21:58:54 Hotkiwi Hello , Just wanted to say a big up to Dave who put on todays track day at Silverstone and special thanks to Tony Crossley (on here) who, somewhat foolishly, agreed to be my track buddy for the day. Ive included (sorry for being boring ) the plot of what I had to say on the XP Forum. Hi guys, Thought you might like to know that the "WSR TF ", better known on here as the Forum TF made its track debut today! Somewhat nervously I made my way to Silverstone this morning in the "WSR TF", ....you know the one............. and I went out and "tested my limits ,not the car's "................ AND I can happily report that it has come home in one piece,and I still walk round with the smile of a cat that has swallowed the cream.I gave literally everything I had, at times a little more ,and the car responded scarily willingly. I had a ball I dont think I chopped anyone up,I surprised myself how quick I was, and as to my wish list of go faster bits >>>>>>>>>>Bah humbug. I love it just the way it is. So Jerry....................the forum TF is now well and truely RUN IN ,OK! Seriously though, I know while I was filling my adrenalin boots at Silverstone many of you were making your statement about the plight of MG. All I can say, being an air-cooled addict (read VW not Porker), if this country is capable of building a car,capable of giving me (AND YOU!!!!) the fun I had today , surely that is an institution worth saving. I wont need much "rocking" tonite.

I'm intending to go down to the beginners evening at Donington and will buddy anyone who feels they need a bit of help. The track marshalls were being paid by the circuit from our hire fee, but John Watson, MGCC's Chief Marshall, who ran the Pit Lane was 100% volunteer, as was his wife who manned the tea and coffee all day. And to the MGot team ! nice to see you all again, oh and Dave i forgot to give you the anglesey pictures,Will send them via snail mail with the silverstone picies. Video coming on ok! alot more footage to work with now. Would it be possible just to come along to bedford as a spectator or is it a booked place only event?......maybe get some footage there before the deadline? Maybe bum a ride with someone?.....
