Thanks John (Dignan) for the excellent organisation again yesterday at Donington. We had a cracking day and learnt a lot about car control in very wet conditions. Really enjoyed the sessions and driving the somewhat slippery areas of the circuit!

I would like to add my thanks to John as well. Very well organised and I much enjoyed the day - it was quite a challenge!! ( not to mention sideways low flying aircraft to further distract!! )

Yes. Thanks John. But a bit too wet for me to enjoy. After the delays on the M1 getting there we decided to leave after half time in case the return journey proved as bad. Regards Doug

Thanks to Dave and the rest of the committee for a great day. Just goes to show how much fun you can have in the wet with front wheel drive and ABS :) I only spun once and managed to keep it on the tarmac - phew ! However it did cost me an extra £300 for a set of rear brake pads and discs (AGAIN !!!) Hopefully I have learned my lesson now.

Many thanks for a Great day! I was surprised that a wet track day could be so good! (Even in an old soft top B). Strangely I found parts of the track more slippery in the last session when it was drying out than earlier in the rain, especially part way round Redgate where I had my only spin of the day! But there again maybe I was pushing those standard road tyres a bit harder once the rain stopped.:)

yeah I also found out that the hard way at craners curve track was drying but still very slippy and rear just went, I had just changed tyres to toyos - I wasn't even pushing it though there The whole track remained really greasy even when drying -like driving on diesel -guessing the airplanes every 10mins was responsible dropping fuel Was good day shame about the weather:( Scott

Yes, good fun, although very tricky in Dad's RV8 - his tyres definitely didn't like the wet. Dying wheel bearing stopped play mid-afternoon, but all sorted now so will be back on track soon.
