Hill Climb school?

What about organising a Hill Climb school maybe at Gurston Down (near Salisbury) for next year. They generally run a small school about 10-15 cars so should be able to achieve this figure?

That sounds interesting and worth exploring.

Oooh! I definately like the look of that!
I didn't realise such events existed!

    I'd be keen!

I took part in a day at Harewood Hillclimb last year and it was fantastic!

Great instruction, lots of runs and fantastic fun. Lots of sliding around, tighter than a circuit but great for car control... (I need all the help I can get)

    I'd certainly do another one.

Sounds like one we should definitely explore.

Watch out Neil - I bet Jennie's signed up already :D

This looks like fun! I'd certainly be interested in this type of event.

Definitely a better location from the perspective of being more accessible to more people. Thanks Dave. I think this is one activity that is right up Dr Bell's street to look into ;)

Certainly worth investigating - looks fun and testing

Prescott does tend to be more expensive as it is owned by the Bugatti Owners Club.

Where are you Dr. Bell? ;)

    Sorry, missed this thread altogether!

Gurston Down is superb - and I have a sneaking suspicion why TJ's suggested it! ROFL :D

So what are we looking to do chaps? Take on an entire day in the name of MGoT - or just insert ourselves into a general day? I suspect the former, so will find out more.

Then there is the question of location. Harewood is superb. I love Gurston. Not been to Prescott. There must be others. Where do people want to go?

I'll find out more about Gurston, and will report back :)

I think there is a hillclimb course at the Brooklands Museum too. Might be worth investigating.

Is there??? There is a hill climb at Brooklands - one of the oldest in the country actually - but it is as straight as a die.

I'm thinking Gurston at the moment - brilliant little little climb. That I happen to currently hold the MGF course record is neither here nor there ;) ;) ;) LOL :D

The hill climb at Brooklands is just a very steep incline, straight up and short with an amazingly small stopping area, also it is only really used for historical events.
