Having now complete 6 track days, I have a question about the amount of wear front to back pads?
My car is the 1998 F with origonal brake calipers.
The first 3 track days were with GreenStuff pads and the 2nd 3 with RedStuff fitted.
The wear for both sets were roughly the same. The front are about 50% gone while the rears are 75% gone.
Is this normal as I would have expect the fronts to wear more than the rears?

Curiously my rears seem to wear slightly quicker then the fronts (APs)

Must be something to do with the area.

All too often the role of the rear brakes on the MGF are under estimated. Upgrading the front is very common but how often are the rears uprated? Being a mid engined car there noticeably more weight over the rear end during braking this combined with the fact that the rear calipers are also braking the engine puts a lot of extra duty on the rear brake assembly. The rear disc are not vented (I think) so there is quite a bit of residual hear there too. If you're interested in a better set of rears there is a really nice big brake kit on the market which uses the original calipers. Rob Bell and I have got a set of these on Project Shed. http://www.johnreedracing.co.uk/
