Well done to the committee, I don't know how you guys do it, but the weather was perfect again.

I'd forgotten what fun the Indy circuit is and the evening format is terrific.

As a point of interest for those who wonder what sort of figures the track time equates to.

We had one and quarter hours track time booked, that was one 15 minute and three 20 minute sessions. All but the last where clean, the last red flagged for 4 minutes for a car that went into the gravel but got itself out.
That time equated to 87 track miles, great value and bloody good fun with huge :D factor. Including driving there and back I did 283 miles at an overall average of 32.6 MPG, although the scan gauge II did show something in the 11 MPG at one point I managed a glance.

The track ettiquette was good as far as I was concerned, so well done all and thanks for another memorable event guys.

    Cheers,
    Martin.

    First timer

I to had a great time last night at Brands Hatch. Thoroughly enjoyed myself after a nervy first stint. The tuition I had was well worth it as it boosted my confidence and speeded me up.

I was in the Dark Blue MGF. Thinking about booking Goodwood in November, do you recomend the circuit for novices ?

Goodwood is a fast track but very wide and has plenty of room for everyone. We will be running 4 by 15 min sessions on that day and there will be a session dedicated to first timers/novices etc, so you will have a great time.

You will also find the track will feel quite empty compared to Brands the other evening as the track is much longer with only half the number of cars out on each session compared to Brands..

Hope to see you there !! ;)

    Stu :D

PS I can also highly recommend Donnington, It's where i did my very first track day many moons ago and got totally hooked at this game

Did anyone take a camera and get some pics?

    Hi Joe,

No sorry I didn't have my camera as these single session events do not lend themselves to snapping. You either snap or play and seeing as it's six months since I've been able to get to one of our events I decided I'd play.

But I will be at Combe 14th July, North Weald 5th September and Combe again on the 8th September when I will be taking some pictures.

I'm doing Silverstone on the 8th August, but again as I'm out on track the format won't allow me to snap away.

    Can 1664,

Goodwood is tremendous fun, it is the only original unchanged track in the Country and so as Stu said is very fast. But it is fine for novices, it is no different for you than it would be for me visiting a track I've never been to before. You start off slowly, find your way around and build your speed up throughout the day. So go ahead and book it up, personally I love the place it is my favourite. Also as Stu said it is easy to give yourself breathing space on track, so you can concentrate on finding the line and having a really good time.

    Cheers,
    Martin.
